1 ERIN Specific Action Program

On the 25th of January 2017 a combined effort of 18 partner countries resulted in the publication of the European Reintegration Network (ERIN) Specific Action program- slow track tender. The ERIN Specific Action program – slow track offers socio-economic reintegration assistance in the form of counseling and referral and/or reintegration assistance to migrants who return voluntarily or non-voluntarily to their country of origin. This program is implemented by partner countries Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom. ERIN Specific Action program – slow track is mainly funded by the European Commission via the European Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).

2 Bankcard Payments

Starting 1 February 2017, the consular department at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kenya will provide its clients the option to pay for consular services not only in cash or Mpesa, but also by bank card.

4 New deadline: NFP Tailor-Made Training programme 2017

EP-Nuffic has announced a new deadline for the NFP-TMT programme for the 1st of March 2017. It is open for Applications from organisations in NFP countries.

5 Response Dutch PM Rutte on first results criminal investigation MH17

This morning the families of the victims of the MH17 disaster were briefed by the Joint Investigation Team on the initial findings of the criminal investigation into the downing of flight MH17. These findings concern the weapon used to down flight MH17, the location from which it was fired and the Buk missile system’s route of transport.

6 NFP Tailor-Made Training programme 2016

It is our pleasure to announce a new call for the NFP tailor-made training programme for 1st October 2016. See also: www.epnuffic.nl/en/capacity-building/calls . This call is only open to joint proposals of requesting organisations in NFP countries together with Dutch training providers. Co-funding of at least 20% of the total cost of the course is again required. New is that we will give a bonus to proposals with at least 3% funding by the requesting organisation or by a third party (or both together).

7 Vacancy Netherlands Business Hub Nairobi

The Netherlands Business Hub opened in 2015 in Nairobi to promote, support and service Dutch business in East-Africa. It contributes to strong economic relations between the Netherlands and East-Africa. The NL Business Hub is an initiative by the Dutch business community and the Dutch Embassy in Nairobi, facilitated by the Netherlands African Business Council (NABC) and the Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP). The NL Business Hub primarily is a commercial service organization that provides members and clients with market information and networks, with possibilities to participate in programs targeting business opportunities, and with hands-on services like partner search, trade missions, representation and serviced office space.

8 MPesa Pay Bill Facility

Effective immediately, all payments for consular services can now be made through Mpesa Pay Bill facility, in addition to cash payments (all in local currency – Kshs – only).

9 Call for tender – ERIN Specific Action

The Dutch Repatriation and Departure Service of the Ministry of Security and Justice, on behalf of all ERIN partner countries, has launched a tender for a public contract for counselling and referral services to citizens who return to their countries of origin.The European Reintegration Network (ERIN) is a programme funded by the European Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.

10 Launch of Orange Carpet Visa Facility Kenya

The Dutch government supports Dutch – Kenyan economic relations by offering companies (and organisations) that do business in both countries the Orange Carpet Facility (OCF).
